3D Modelling

3D Modelling

Structural steel detailing comprises the drawing and creation of joints between steel beams and columns, which are also known as connections. These are crucial to the stability of the structure, and the entire process requires a high level of expertise. In a way, the success of the entire project depends on the kind of steel detailing services that have been utilized to create the structure. This is where TES comes in.

Our steel detailing services team comprises experienced structural engineers who are experts in complying with global quality standards. We have lent our expertise to numerous construction firms, architectural companies and engineering organizations with regards to structural analysis (including virtual models), bills of material, estimates and detailed drawings. These are developed in accordance with standards like IS, IBC, ACI, AASHTO, AISC and ASCE 7, and are often a result of advanced analysis of seismic and dynamic load conditions.

Our steel detailing services flow chart begins with receiving the input data from the client, which is primarily a 3D model with or without structural data (like material, edge distance, cope criteria, axial/sheer force, etc.). When the structural data is provided and the structural code is specified, we refer to the relevant design tables and prepare the connection as per the preferred standard. When the structural data is not given, we undertake the full load design, keeping in mind the preferred standards to derive the connection and ensure utmost compliance with client requirements.

Here is the list of steel detailing services, TES offers:

  • Shop/Fabrication drawings, Erection drawings, field details, framing plans, Anchor bolts with templates, embedded setting plans
  • Material Reports such as Advance Bill of Materials, Pre-Detailing, Sequencing lists, Members and Parts list, Shop and Field Bolt list, Field Bolt Location List etc.
  • Sheet Metal Layouts and Detailing
  • Rebar Detailing such as bar bending schedules for slab, beams, columns, foundations, walls and other structural components along with their placement drawings.
  • Post Tension Detailing  &  Joist Detailing
  • Connections Detailing such as beam-beam connections, beam column connections, beam-slab connections, column-slab connections, diagonal brace connections, plan-brace, column foundation connections etc.
